Do Progressive Lenses Need PD?

Yes. Pupillary distance is important when making progressive lenses because the different viewing zones of the lens must be positioned correctly in relation to your eyes.

Progressive lenses contain multiple viewing areas for distance, intermediate, and near vision rather than having one prescription power across the entire lens. Because of this, proper lens positioning is especially important.
